Richardson Theatre Centre

Galloping in and out of the four doors of an English vicarage are an American actor and actress (he is now stationed with the Air Force in England), a cockney maid who has seen too many American movies, an old maid who “touches alcohol for the first time in her life,” four men in clergyman suits presenting the problem of which is which (for disguised as one is an escaped prisoner), and a sedate Bishop aghast at all these goings-on and the trumped up stories they tell him.

  • Read through will be June 16
  • Start July 6
  • Sundays at 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM
  • Monday - Thursday at 7:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Performances
  • August 7 - 30
  • Please note that this is a 4 weekend run
  • Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM
  • Sundays at 2:00 PM
  • Thursdays at 7:30 PM of the second and third week
  • Fourth weekend performances are Friday, Saturday and Sunday

American wife and former actress.  Vivacious and free spirited.

Late teens - 20s

A dutiful house maid & spunky village girl. Speaks her mind, cockney accent.

Miss Skillon
30s - 40s

Sour, self righteous spinster & busy-body.  Gets very drunk.       

Reverend Lionel Toop
Late 30s

Pleasantly dignified vicar of the parish. Loses his composure & his pants.

Corporal Clive Winton
20s - 30s

Actor friend of Penelope’s, now in the army. Dashing and witty.    

Bishop of Lax
50s

Imposing & dignified, until he looses it.

The Man
30s - 40s

Escaped prisoner, possibly demented, Russian accent.
