Rodgers And Hammerstein's Cinderella

The Hopeful Theatre Project

"Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Broadway Version) is the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers & Hammerstein's most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It's Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” alongside an up-to-date, hilarious and romantic libretto by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane.” (Concord Theatricals)

$15 of every $20 ticket will go towards our annual partner, Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth and Dallas, and their mission of providing a comforting and supportive environment for families facing the challenges of childhood illness. They provide a home-away-from-home for families at little to no cost to find solace, strength, and the support they need at the time they need it most.

  • Bring a current headshot and resume
  • Bring list of conflicts from June 22 - July 24
  • Conflicts during tech week and performances will not be accepted
  • Two contrasting 32 bar cuts, or 60 second cuts, in the style of the show
  • Bring sheet music properly marked and in the desired key
  • An accompanist will be provided.

  • Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal
  • Irving Garden & Arts Center in Irving, TX during weeknights
  • The Refinery in Grapevine, TX on Saturdays
  • We will move to the Kalita Humphreys Theater on Thursday, July 23 for rehearsals on July 23 and 24
  • Tech week begins Saturday, July 25
  • No rehearsal on Sunday, July 26

For this production, we are seeking performers based in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Out-of-state submissions will only be considered from Hopeful alumni.

The Hopeful Theatre Project does not offer housing, travel, or compensation for our productions at this time.

Though no one notices her beneath her rags, Ella is opinionated, charismatic, and hopeful. A kind-hearted beauty with an infectious generosity of spirit, she dreams of a better life. Role may include stage intimacy.

Both heroic and brave but also misguided and a bit naive. In search of his purpose in life, he feels lonely and unfulfilled. He is kindhearted with an endearing, goofy streak. Role may include stage intimacy.

First appearing as a disheveled vagrant, she is secretly a wise, warm, and eccentric fairy godmother. She rewards Ella's kindness by making her dreams a reality, possessing an otherworldly charm and a deep sense of compassion for those in need.
